Our Children’s Anger

Our Children's Anger - not a pleasant emotion! But anger is not something we should encourage our children to shy away from. Instead we should teach them HOW to deal with their anger. If we don’t show them how to express their anger in a safe, and healthy way, the anger doesn’t just go away. It becomes internalized and grows into something else.  Don’t isolate them to their room, or punish them for their outburst. This will only teach them shame and guilt for feeling this way.  So what should we do? Connect with your child the next time they’re angry. Help them release their feelings in a healthy way and teach them the tools on how to feel and cope with their emotions.
